STOP PRESS! ..  LINDA’S  NEW POETRY BOOK WILL BE OUT SOON!

This second collection will be published in early 2024. Just a change of heart over the cover holding things up. It’s a broad mix of poems, including themes of loss, love, acceptance and social issues.

Jan Moran Neil (www.janmoranneil.co.uk) a successful writer and actor has written this blurb for the back cover.  ‘The sky will fall today but you need not be afraid. Pullman’s poetic narrator possesses the authoritative voice of calm and reason. This collection is a journey; a visceral journey through the train lines of life, stopping off at heavenly haberdashery and shoe shuffle stores, waiting rooms, libraries and workshops in brain training. It’s both surreal and earthy and finds peace where you least expect it.’

Roses in December

A collection of Linda’s poems.

ABOUT THE POET

Linda is an ex primary school teacher, now living in Buckinghamshire and as a teacher, she aimed to instill a love of reading and of writing in her pupils. She runs a small writing group in Aylesbury. She has always loved to write and have a large collection of poetry from which she chose poems for this, her first collection. Breast cancer in 2020 caused her to re-assess her life goals.

The writing of these poems spans three decades. They came together following a brush with breast cancer in 2020. Some offer outlandish solutions to social issues and others centre on relationships. In the words of one of the poems:

We are powered, empowered and connected.
